Every year the Research Scholars’ Association organize a one-day event in the form of a Freshers’ welcome program to greet all the new faces who join IACS as students, scholars and researchers. Freshers from all courses ranging from BS/MS, Integrated-PhD, PhD and Post-Doctoral programs are gathered and welcomed with mementoes and cultural programs consisting of songs and dance performances performed by in-house talents. The program is further enriched with the presence of all seniors who heartily welcome and get introduced to the new students. The evenings are dedicated to the felicitation of the outgoing batch of PhD students to acknowledge the arduous efforts of the students who complete their PhD journey at IACS with felicitation ceremonies every year. They are presented with mementoes, and flowers and the stage become their mouthpiece to reminisce and share. The outgoing students share their experiences and stories of camaraderie and time spent at IACS. The walk down memory lane evokes the nostalgia of past years and the ceremony closes with applause and positivity.  The evening ends with a flare of musical performances by professional bands and acts to entertain and celebrate together.
